A pure Reputation

Vorlon

After the death of Fabrizia things were never really the same in the castle. The Queen felt insecure and was worried about her children. She spent her time in the garden, wandering around and wishing to have a glimpse of the shadow, Betelgaeze. Rumors had it he had been seen more frequently during the past years. The though made the Queen feel better, but it was still difficult to forget what had happened.

Years passed, wounds turned to scars, but the fear remained. After some debating, when the sixth birthday of the newest additions to the family, twins Sofia and Arianna, came closer, the Emperor announced they'd move. Too much had happened inside these walls to call this castle a home right now, and to add to that, there were now investigations targeted towards the family because of some "unfortunate deaths" of humans that had happened near their property. It was urgent to clean the family reputation, and what a better way to do it than move and host a big party to all important people in Bridgeport. Everyone could come and see the family had nothing to hide. Surely the talks about the creatures of the night were RIDICULOUS and spread by those envious of the family's high status.

With the new house, the newly cleaned reputation and far better security than before, the Vorlon family continued on. Interesting times were ahead, since the other one of the twins, Sofia, was showing exceptional talent in all her studies. She was devoted in improving her skills and exceeding the expectations set for her. Not long before her twelfth birthday she had already mastered several musical instruments, shown talent in logical thinking and won prizes in school science competitions. She was athletic, determined, strong-willed and most importantly, she had her father's cunning mind. She knew how to work with people, how to make them love her as much as fear her.

She had set herself goals, and she was going to succeed in her plans. Gabriele knew these were all good traits for his possible future heir, but there was still time. Lots of time. Someone better fit for the purpose could still be born.

The question was, would Sofia accept NO as an answer when asking for the throne.
